• We are asset allocators. We believe asset allocation; the distribution of an investment portfolio among stocks, bonds and cash, is the primary determinant of long-term investment results and an effective way to mitigate risk over complete market cycles.  

• We are active managers. Our experience is that active management, investing in specific instruments with the goal of outperforming relative benchmarks, can increase overall investor returns.

• We are value investors. We believe that valuation and profit margins are subject to mean reversion over the long-term. Therefore, we look to buy inexpensive assets and sell expensive ones.
